Debbie Walmsley

Counsellor & Psychologist (BACP Registered, NCPS Accredited)

Debbie is a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Norfolk, offering both in‑person and online therapy. She works with adults navigating significant life changes — whether that’s bereavement, relationship breakdown, burnout, a new diagnosis, or simply a sense that familiar ways of coping no longer feel enough. Debbie’s approach is warm, steady, and deeply human; her priority is to help people think more clearly, feel less alone, and find a way forward that genuinely belongs to them.

Before training as a therapist, Debbie spent many years in the corporate world and over nine years supporting armed forces personnel and their families through the Warrior Programme. This experience, alongside her own time as a client in therapy, shapes her belief that empathy has no script — that meaningful therapeutic work comes from listening closely, holding space without judgement, and meeting each person where they are.

Debbie is a pluralistic therapist, drawing from a range of approaches depending on what each individual needs. She works at your pace, with an emphasis on collaboration and emotional safety. She works with people seeking support during a period of transition or uncertainty.

Alongside her indoor practice in Norwich and Cromer, Debbie also offers walk‑and‑talk therapy along the Norfolk coast, combining reflective conversation with the grounding presence of the natural environment.

Debbie is a registered member of the BACP and an accredited member of the NCPS.
